CLIENT SUMMARY

Our client has a 400 person unionized Cincinnati plant that is a high speed manufacturer of Aerosol cans. They operate most of the plant on a 24/7 continuous production mode.

JOB SUMMARY

The position will work 7PM to 7AM on a work seven of fourteen days basis (2 days on and 2 days off twice and 3 days on and 3 three days off once). The position will have responsibility for either assembly or punch press operations. Each has about 30 unionized workers. The supervisory and his/her workforce rotate together. The position will report to the Department Manager.

KEY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Day to day supervisory responsibilities to include training, coaching, job assignments and discipline where needed.

2. Ability to initiate and support cost savings projects.

3. Knowledge of safety and environmental issues

4. Strong communication skills are mandatory

IDEAL CANDIDATES’ QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

BS degree preferred. A minimum of an AS Degree is required. In addition, we require high speed assembly or punch press experience. Prior supervision experience should be about 5-10 years and union experience is a real plus. The operation is fast paced and the client really wants to hire promotable people. Strong continuous improvement experience will also be a strong asset.
