The campus setting offers a variety of independent living options, including studios, one and two bedroom apartments. Amenities include assisted living services, a full-time activities team, occupational and physical therapy, and restaurant-style meal service.
Job Summary
The Executive Director is responsible for the day to day operations of the senior living community, with a focus on maintaining high occupancy, providing exceptional levels of client service, and ensuring the financial health of the enterprise. The Executive Director is also the face of the organization in a variety of public and professional settings.
Key job Responsibilities
· Recruit, train, motivate, evaluate, and supervise the management team.
· Develop and implement an annual business plan that incorporates sales, marketing, and operating objectives and strategies.
· Ensure that the community is in compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations.
· Maintain a visible, approachable presence for all residents and their family members.
· Work closely with the sales team to ensure that occupancy targets are met or exceeded.
· Participate in local community activities and professional associations to enhance the visibility and reputation of the community.
· Monitor competition and senior living trends in the area to identify opportunities for growth and expansion.
· Provide training and professional development opportunities for all staff members.
· Review maintenance and capital expenditure budgets and provide ongoing recommendations for efficiencies and savings.
Ideal Candidate Qualifications and Experience
· Bachelor’s degree in business administration, marketing, human resources, gerontology, or related field.
· Eight or more years of management experience in a senior living community or related field such as home care, hospice, hotel management, fitness, or wellness.
· Experience managing a team of five or more direct reports.
· Demonstrated ability to manage a P&L with positive results.
· Strong leadership profile, with the ability to motivate and inspire others.
· Sales orientation, with track record of success.
· Effective communication skills, including talent for public speaking and networking.
· Passion for delivering unmatched customer service
· Excellent problem solving skills.
· Compassion for seniors and the challenges of transition.
