Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced, hands-on e-marketing operations director, to assume comprehensive responsibilities for database building, data integrity and major email operations (over 2 million emails/week).
Key Job Responsibilities
- Build and improve eMarketing strategies for our information, education, research and conference businesses
- Interact regularly with internal business clients to ensure communication, coordination and coverage
- Ensure optimal performance by conducting thorough analysis of email campaigns
- Recommend opportunities for optimization and identifying and evaluating new opportunities.
- Present results of individual email campaigns as well as overall programs to senior management.
- Managing our data mining, prospect and member databases.
- Create testing scenarios for segmentation, creative, copy and contact strategy improvement.
- Manage the process of setting up, testing, and deploying our e-mail marketing programs.
- Resolve issues, solve problems, develop strategy, implement new ideas
- Constantly monitor email and social media industry trends, tools and opportunities
Ideal Candidate’s Qualifications and Experience
- 5+ years of successful Email Marketing experience or equivalent
- Experience in managing people and teams
- Strong quantitative, analytical, and problem solving skills.
- Passion for the online marketing space, and a and a curiosity for new ideas
- Solid understanding of other interactive marketing channels (search, online media, website development, etc.)
- Experience and proven professional knowledge of direct marketing principles
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent project management and interpersonal communication abilities.
- Highly proficient computer skills (including Excel, PowerPoint).
- Self-directed and self-motivated with a strong, self-starting ethic
- Ability to thrive under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Bachelor’s degree required.
