Our Cincinnati based chemical manufacturing client is seeking a Product Manager for their local operation. The company is owned by a German parent and has US headquarters in NJ.
JOB SUMMARY
The Product Manager has responsibility for ACS Solvents. This person is responsible for product planning and execution throughout the solvent product lifecycle, including: gathering and prioritizing product and customer requirements, defining the product vision, and working closely with operations, sales, marketing and divisional services to ensure revenue and customer satisfaction goals are met. The Product Manager's job also includes ensuring that the product line supports the company's overall strategy and financial goals.
KEY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Develop & Implement Marketing Plans & Programs. Exchange Market/Product Information with Appropriate Product Management Team/s. Forecast & Monitor Sales Growth & Gross Profit Dollars. Design Marketing Collateral both In Print and On the Web. Monitor Market Trends And Serve As Local Expert On Competitor Activities. Be a Company Ambassador; Promote the Company through Customer Visits, Seminars, and Trade Shows. Keep Abreast Of Technology Changes And New Markets. Interact with Sales to Identify New Product Opportunities. Training the Sales Force, Distributor Reps, Technical Service, and Customer Service Dept. Provide Technical Information to Customers, Internal and External Sales Force (Distribution) And Customer Service Dept. Conduct On-Going Seminars.
IDEAL CANDIDATES’ QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
Ideal Candidate will have experience in a product management role with a technical product. Science degree is a plus. 2+ years experience a must.
ADDITIONAL COMMENTS
Due to some exciting internal changes, this position will begin as a contract and very likely become a permanent position within 6 months.
