Our Northern Cincinnati based client started in Great Britain in 1974 and later expanded to the US in the mid 90's. It is today an integral part of a global publicly traded company. The company offers a full range of products and services that serve the education industry.
Job Summary:
This newly created position will report directly to the Global CEO and it will be part of the senior management team. The selected candidate will manage an existing staff of 4-5 people. The purpose of the position is to develop and implement proactive and strategic marketing and communication plans that effectively articulate the mission, value proposition and industry impact to internal and external stakeholders. In addition, a key objective is to enhance the company's brand on a worldwide basis.
Key Job Responsibilitie:

Develop and manage a global brand strategy that aligns with the long term business strategy and supports business unit sales and marketing strategies.

Lead the development and ongoing management of the corporate global website, working closely with the business units on content and messaging.

Handle all media relations outreach to include all internal and external communication goals and objectives.

Develop and execute a social media strategy with focus on building client communities.

Develop partnerships and relationships with key industry leaders promoting the company as the expert in the field.

Act as subject matter expert, supporting business units on internal and external communication, brand and marketing and public and media relations.
Ideal Candidate Qualifications and Experience:

BS or BA degree in a relevant field with a strong preference for an MBA.

A minimum of 6-8 years in a strategic marketing role to include managing a portfolio of brands across multiple business units.

Proven ability to develop and execute a successful corporate communications and media relations strategy.

Strong demonstrated ability to build online client communities and the ability to use social media in ways that promote the Company's brand and industry expertise.

Exceptional communication, collaboration and consensus building skills.
Additional Comments:
The client has indicated a very strong preference for candidates who live in a commutable distance of N. Cincinnati. Will also look at candidates with very strong education industry experience outside the Cincinnati area.
