Client Summary:

Our High-Tech manufacturing client, based in West Chester , OH is a pioneering leader in the radio frequency communications market.  They design and manufacture a suite of RF products and systems for the DOD and commercial markets.  They are dedicated to innovation, quality, and absolute customer satisfaction. Because of their growth we are seeking a Business Development Engineer to join their sales team.

Job Summary:

As a Business Development Engineer, you are responsible for developing customer relationships, product development and proliferation strategies to ensure continued diversification in products, customers, and markets.   Individual will provide system level technical support to customers and assist in development of co-site interference mitigation solutions.

Key Job Responsibilities:

Market Research

  • Collects and analyzes data to evaluate existing and potential markets and opportunities.
  • Networks with existing customers and new contacts to determine customers’ product roadmaps and needs.
  • Assesses synergism between the customers’ requirements and the Company’s capabilities to determine product strategic direction.
  • Ensures comprehensive evaluation of markets and products prior to substantiation of internal efforts.

Sales

  • Works with customers to identify potential solutions and business opportunities.
    Develops and provides initial technical information to customer including specifications, systems analysis and technical approach.
  • Performs liaison between customer and internal functional groups.
    Directs and contributes to proposals in response to customer requirements.
  • Maintains relationships and favorable contacts with current and potential customers.


Strategic Relationships

  • Promotes and assists in the identification and establishment of technical and business strategic relationships.
  • Assists in development of company strategic direction and successful implementation.
  • Ability and willingness to frequently approach people and network within organizations.
  • Ability to create excellent long-term customer relationships.
  • Ability to generate profitable sales growth.
  • Long-term effects of strategic thrusts initiated.

Ideal Candidate Qualifications and Experience:

  • BSEE from an accredited four year college or university required.
  • MBA strongly preferred.
  • Strong RF and system engineering experience required.
  • Prior demonstration of successful Marketing and Sales experience preferred.  Proven experience with the acquisition of new contracts and customers.
  • Ability to travel 10 to 20% of the time.
  • Good written, verbal, and listening skills.
